When Opportunity Knocks

If you had told me in January that in 4 months I'd be racing around the Smokey Mountains with over 150 Porsche GT owners and then flying to Miami to exhibit my artwork in the Paddock Club of the F1 Grand Prix, while at the same time displaying my work at the Automobile Council show in Japan, I would have said "you're nuts!”

First of all, none of this was on my schedule (Yes, I’m type A). Plus we already had plans here in CA to be at Luftgekuhlt’s Air|Water! A favorite annual event for hardcore Porsche lovers the world over (including me).

And secondly, I have plenty to do already...with ongoing projects, studio prep for summer activations, I don't have time to add anything new to my plate. There’s no way...right?

Well, somehow (really, by God’s grace), I was able to manage the schedule adjustments, stay on track with my projects and create three new works specifically for the F1 display (photos in newsletter). Rob and Elle ran the exhibit at Air|Water and Team Japan stepped up for Auto Council. What the WHAT?!

Oh, what a twisty turvey adventure this life has become - and by the way, it turns out "you're not nuts!". 

So now as I write you I'm sitting on a flight to Knoxville, TN to join Smokies GT X for their 10th Anniversary Rally and Charity event benefitting the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. Sean, Trey and the group at Smokies GT are all about helping others in need but also making it fun along the way. It's often easy to get wrapped up in the "work of doing", so it's really refreshing to be working with these guys. I am truly honored to be able to contribute to their efforts with my art and to be there to celebrate this milestone event with them! 

Two days after Smokies I fly to Miami, FL to join powerhouse artists, Samantha Zimmermann and Anita Lewis as part of an F1 "Women In Motorsports" featured exhibition during the F1 Miami Grand Prix. Stay tuned on social media to follow the action!

Oh, and our Japan team was able to crush it at the Automobile Council show! Hideki, Tanaka, Takashi and Desmond san were awesome! And although I am sad I wasn't able to be there with them, I am thrilled to see what they are doing with our little business in such a dynamic market. 

You know, it's hard sometimes to see past the immediate and be open to opportunities while also trying to balance, the "good, better and best" choices. I am so fortunate to be surrounded by a such an amazing team of humans that I call friends.

I won’t bore you with all the sappy details – you know who you are and you are treasured by me! Thank you for coming along side, encouraging, praising, praying, dropping everything to help me set up & do event stuff, correcting poor directions, pushing or yanking the reigns if necessary simply out of love. Thank you, Thank you!

My friends I think its about time to land this plane, and that's all I have to share...for now. Looking forward to seeing you again soon!
