Sweater Weather
I am really enjoying this cool Fall weather. I know, I know, its hard to complain about the weather here in So Cal, but man those last couple of weeks of summer really seemed to have had some extra heat on ‘em. If you saw me at our studio event, in Monterey for Car Week or at the San Marino Concours you probably caught me with a fan in hand trying to keep cool. Hot stuff! Thankfully, despite the heat, these events went beautifully and really exceeded our expectations on all fronts (photos @LynHinerCars on IG). Thank you to everyone that stopped by to say hi, we were so blessed to connect with you all!
Now, as we head into this new season, I have a few other cool new things to announce.
Last year at Car Week, I met the nice folks who organize the Chattanooga Motorcar Festival, and we talked about how I could be a part of their annual event. Well, here we are a year later and I’m excited to announce I will be their Featured Artist at this year’s Festival! If you’re planning on being in Chattanooga for the Festival or want another good excuse to go, please come visit us in the lobby of the Westin hotel next to the Luftgekühlt exhibit, Friday-Sunday, October 11-13. We will have a variety of newly released originals and reproductions on display!
Also this week, check out my interview with my dear friend and fellow creative, Kate Cook (@AsphaltCanvasArt on IG) on “The Curated Craftsmen” podcast (@curatedcraftsmenpodcast). Kate hosts this fabulous podcast about and for creative entrepreneurs, and we had a wonderful time talking through a multitude of subjects. If you’re like me and enjoy listening to people talk about what they’re passionate about, please give it a listen. My chat with Kate is scheduled to go live on October 7.
Other items on the horizon:
I will be exhibiting once again in the Art Walk section of the SEMA Show in Las Vegas, NV, November 5-8. This year's Art Walk has a new location on the Bridge between North and West Halls. This marks my eighth year at SEMA, the place where I officially launched my Petrol series back in 2017, and I look forward to another amazing experience.
Usually, SEMA is my last event of the year, but this December I’m making my debut at the Women in Motorsports North America (WIMNA) “Women With Drive Summit,” December 9-11 at the Indianapolis Convention Center. This event is the precursor to my alma mater, the Performance Racing Industry (PRI) Trade Show- which I haven’t been to for more than 20 years! Maybe it’s a little weird to say, but I’m so excited to see what this event has become since my departure as its Trade Show manager back in 1999. The team who runs this event are the best of the best and I’m honored to say they are still the same team that I worked with all those years ago. Bravo friends!! If you’re in Indy for the Show, please reach out and let’s connect!
Finally, I recognize there are so many things to be thankful for each day and I especially thank God for the incredible blessing of each and every one of YOU.
THANK YOU for being a part of this crazy-cool journey.
I look forward to when our paths cross again!
Cheers,
—Lyn
